We stayed here mid week in November.
-Location - It's in a residential, safe area.
The Metro: The hotel is a 15 to 20 minute walk to either of the two Metro stations (Metro Center and McPherson Sq.). Both stations are on both the red and blue Metro lines. When you get to the Metro station you are almost half way to the main tourist area directly south.
-No stores or restaurants in the immediate hotel area.
-This is an old building which apparently was converted into a hotel. There is no 'Oh, wow!' factor here that you may get when you walk into an expensive hotel.
-You have to walk up about 8 stairs from the street to get to the lobby/registration desk.
-Beds were comfortable.
-Bathroom was an odd shape. No vent in the bathroom. Flushing the toilet was noisy.
-Complimentary breakfast is the usual cold selection plus make-your-own waffles.
-Late afternoon cookies.
-Computer with Internet is available for guest use in the foyer.
-Staff were nice.
Essentially, this is an adequate place to sleep, and is at least reasonably close to the tourist area.
-Parking cost an outrageous $27 / day. Another poster said there was a garage "across the street" that was $10 less. We didn't find that garage until we were leaving. It's on I Street, kitty corner across the intersection from the hotel.
-Cost: Our room with two beds was $107.99 + $15.66 tax = $123.65 per night,. Parking was $27 per day..
Total for room and parking: $ 150.65 per day.
Rooms are cheaper Friday and Saturday nights than mid week..
