We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, 3 full days. Got a deal that included parking and also free full breakfast buffet each morning for basically the price they charge for parking - $30 a day more than the room rate. We had such a great time in DC (many museums are FREE, the subway/metro is so neat and clean etc) and our room was no exception. I booked the room based on the trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. The service was fabulous...very gracious and friendly and pleasant - on every level of personnel. The restaurant had a terrific breakfast buffet and the waitstaff was professional, friendly and very helpful. Delicious food also - waffles to order and also omlettes, fresh fruit all kinds of breads and pasteries. We ate dinner both nights at the restaurant - I can honestly say the salmon was the best I've ever had. Service wasn't super fast but not dragging either. Happy, friendly, helpful waitstaff which was just great. I kept thinking that either this hotel hired the happiest people around, or had done some serious training on customer service b/c it was such a great experience. I'd go there again in a minute. Room was quiet, very clean, nice amenities. Lobby very pretty and clean, Starbucks counter in the lobby which was great (only served some of the coffees, not the whole menu, but enough to get a nice cup of coffee and a snack if you needed a fix :). Nice little gift shop - of course a little pricey but had stuff if you wanted a snack etc. We didn't use room service but noticed there wasn't a charge for room service, just a gratuity added. Concierge was very helpful and nice, parking valet guy couldn't have been sweeter. Maybe I'm a little cynical but truly by the end of the trip, with each greet and smile I was thinking "are they kidding?" I mean, usually there is something that is not quite right. Well not this time - they really got it right from rooms to service to appearance and food. By the way, the location is AWESOME. Across the street from Macy's and Payless if you forgot something and need to shop for it. Great restos nearby, and literally down the block from the neat and clean metro station which is two subway stops from the Wash Monument and other attractions, and a few more stops (minutes) if you want to go to the capital. Hope everyone has as nice an experience - I would go there in a sec again.
