We stayed 2 nights in November, a Sunday and Monday.
The hotel is split into two towers, Central and Wardman. They are significantly different. The Central tower is like a typical business hotel while the Wardman tower is more luxurious and has finer furnishings and gardens etc.
We stayed in the central tower as no option was given.
Even though we are Marriott Rewards members, we weren't given our preference of a king bed or high floor. Our room was on the 2nd floor, overlooking a huge array of air conditioning units.
The Marriott claims to be a completely non-smoking hotel, however, as soon as we entered our room, we were overcome with cigar/tobacco odour. It was emanating from the bathroom shower curtain (we guess the previous guest used it as a smoking hiding space). When telephoning the front desk to alert them about the situation, we were transferred to various departments and eventually ended up talking to 'security' for some reason. We explained the smoke smell and he said 'OK'. When I explained that I didn't want to be stuck with the $250 'room-recovery' fee because of a previous guest, he just said, 'I'll pass it on' and hung up.
The hotel lobby areas and bars are very nice and the location is great. That said, if you have a choice, the Omni across the street is a supremely better hotel, unless you get put in the Wardman towers.
