This hotel was conveniently located for all of our daily outings. The room was very spacious and had a great bathroom with a nice big tub. Perfect for a nice bubble bath after a long day. The breakfast was good with a variety of juices to choose from and some hot eggs and bacon as well. My only complaint was that I did not find the front desk staff very friendly.

Two blocks from the train station and very near all the places you want to see in Florence. A tad on the expensive side but breakfast is included and the room is just amazing. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room clean and spacious.

We recently spent 2 nights at Hotel Santa Maria Novella and absolutely loved it! It was our first visit to Italy and we can't wait to go back. We will definately stay at this hotel again. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, the room was beautiful and the buffet breakfast was amazing! We chose this hotel as it is quietly situated but within very easy walking distance of all Florence has to offer. A couple of weeks before our arrival we asked the hotel if they could pre-book Uffizi tickets for us and we were very glad that they did as the queues are horrendous for daily tickets!! There are still renovations going on in the piazza but it's not an issue once inside the hotel. The hotel is conveniently situated for arrival by train, just a 5 minute walk. All in all, a really wonderful place to stay! We'll be back!!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our honeymoon - for a stop between Montepulciano and the Amalfi Coast. The location is amazing - you can walk everywhere, including the train station. We were in Florence 6 months ago and stayed at the Excelsior down by the river and this location was just as good if not better, and the hotel was half the price. The room was huge, and really nice, great amenities. Exactly what you would expect from a 4 star, but not the price. The only disappointment was that they knew it was our honeymoon and didn't acknowledge it (the hotel in Rome and on the Amalfi coast sent us champage and fruit/chocolate).
