“Perfect for Romance!”

Una Hotel Venezia

5 of 5 stars
Preston
Aug 24, 2008

We spent 3 nights at the Una in Vencice for our wedding anniversary. We booked an executive room which was really lovely. It was spacious, lovely decor and furniture, a comfortable bed, a well equiped bathroom. The seating area was also lovely with a large widescreen tv ( handy for catching some olympic action when we got up) I could not really find fault with the room. There were the extra touches like bathrobes and slippers, lots of cosmetics etc and a hand mini bar ( fridge spacious enough to put our own drinks in.) There was even a pillow menu ( which meant I got to have an extra soft pillow)
The service at reception was great, they were helpful and polite staff, excellent English and happy to assist in anyway they could.
Breakfast was really nice a huge selection of food in a light and tastefully decorated room, again great service. The lounge area and seating areas around the hotel were also lovely and always spotlessly clean.
The hotel location was great. Close to a main street but far enough away by a quiet canal to get no noise in the evenings. It took at most 10 minutes to Rialto, about 15 min to walk to st marks. The local riverbus stop was less than 5 and Fondemente Nove ( convenient for airport and murano trips) is also only about 5 min walk.
This is a great choice of hotel for somewhere quiet yet close enough to the action. Rooms are lovely, especially if you can stretch to the ones above the basic level. We hope to return again on our next visit to Venice

This hotel was excellent. We were greeted on arrival by a very pleasant receptionist who showed us to our rooms. We had booked 2 rooms and they had been each upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were both very comfortable with large well equipped bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning perfect and there was no outside noise. We got a recommendation for dinner from reception which was perfect and breakfast was good the next day.I can only say good things about this hotel and its location about 10 mins walk at most from the rialto bridge is ideal.I would definitely stay there again.

“Good hotel, some small rooms.”

This hotel is in an excellent location, close to a main thoroughfare and the vaporetti stops.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good but not exceptional.
My only real gripe is with the room sizes (we had 2). Having heard that they were small I upgraded to superior rooms, but while one room was a lovely size with an excellent bathroom, the other was small with the tiniest bathroom ever (this was mine!). The larger room had a bath with an overhead shower, but the smaller room had no bath and the tiniest shower cubicle known to man. Also, the water temperature fluctuated and one minute you were icy cold and the next minute scorching hot.
Overall, however, our stay was pleasant and I would probably go back if I could be assured a larger room with a proper sized bathroom, especially when paying extra for a superior.

Well above our expectation for the price we paid. Interior decor was beautiful. The old building has been restored to high standard with quality fittings.

Hotel staffs were brialliant, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was perfect, offering good Continental Breakfast. I am not sure why it was advertised in some website as American Breakfast maybe due to the fact that there was also a hot breakfast choice of bacon, sausage and scrambbled eggs.

Like many hotels, the front of hotel blends into the other buildings. To find it, stop at Ca'd Oro, look at the local map for the street. On arrival, just locate the building number.

There is ample restaurants in Canneregio for dinner, just locate one in the guidebooks, or get recommendations from the hotel. I must say that its location is excellent, not so far away from the bustling and busy Rialto and San Marco area, close to restaurants, shops, supermarket, open market and Ca'd Oro.

We enjoyed our stay very much!

“Loved the Una”

We have just returned from staying at the Una Hotel,Venice.Excellent ,happy service. Our room was upgraded on arrival.
The Una is well positioned for The Rialto bridge area and a nice stroll to St Mark's square. It is in a back street,so is beauitifully quiet at night.
We took the private water taxi, expensive, but so easy. The hotel would be difficult to find if you haven't been to Venice before,so the water taxi was the best option for us.
Would certainly go back again to the Una.Just need to win the lottery and i'll be on my way.
