“Good price with modern rooms”

Villa Emilia

Loved the hotel! Stayed in it with my family. The rooms were a decent size and very modern. The bathrooms were spacious and well equipped. The metro stop was one minute away, and only 4 stops to Le Rambles. The rooftop was amazing, especially at night. Very helpful front desk. Would happily stay there again! Thought it was better and more comfortable than other more expensive hotels!

“Fantastic Hotel in Great Location”

Villa Emilia

Our recent stay at the hotel was great.

We booked directly with the hotel and found the rate to be very good. We payed 110 euros for a double room.

We stayed in room 43, and it was very well decorated, very clean, and had superb furnishings. The toileteries were replaced daily and were very good quality. The shower was also excellent.

The air conditioning was very good and fully controllable.

We found the room to be very quiet and bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast was not included in our rate, and was a little bit pricey for what you get - it is self service. We did however try Casanovas a couple of doors down for breakfast which was only about 7 or 8 euros for 2 coffees, a couple of bocadillos and a couple of pastries.

The roof top bar is also excellent - we went up there every night for a couple of pre dinner drinks - very reasonable prices, good measures of wine, and great service.

Staff in general were very helpful, and would ring taxis for you and make reservations at restaurants. One of the staff recommended an excellent Argentinian steak restaurant to us - San Telmo, we had probably the best steak I have ever eaten here.

The hotel is in a nice area, fairly quiet, and about 20 mins walk to Las Ramblas, 8 mins walk to Placa Espania.

If you like dogs, look out for the lovely black cocker spaniel called 'Black' that lives just round the corner from the hotel - the owner doesnt like you to touch or stroke him though.

Overall, we thought the hotel was in a great location, and represented excellent value for money. We will return

“Amazing hotel with great access to city sights.”

The hotel made a really good impact from the moment we got there. In terms of the downstairs it is really nicely put together with a bar and sit down area for coffee etc. The coffee there is fantastic and the staff were really friendly. The room itself was really clean and nice, with a good view. The only downside was not having enough shelves for the surplus of clothing that I took with me! In terms of getting into the centre of Barcelona, it is walkable in about 15 mins, but to be honest taxis were frequent and cheap enough that there was no need. Overall I loved my stay here and would gladly come back again.

“Great rooftop bar”

Very easy to get to hotel. We took the airport bus (A1) to a stop called Urgell, it's only 5 mins from there.

The hotel is lovely. Rooms have air-con and a free safe. We didn't have breakfast.

The metro is at the end of the road (called Rocafort), but you can walk to Placa Catalunya in 20 mins (turn left at the end of the hotel rd then carry on along the main road)

The rooftop bar was excellent. Very relaxing day and night, comfy sofas and good food - not too expensive (decent bottle of cava 18euros)

Had a 5 night stay here and I can honestly say that the hotel excels in every way. Everything from the room to the service was immaculate. The roof terrace is stunning and a real gem and the continental breakfast buffet was the best one I have ever come across. Smoked Salmon and even Cava for those who like a tipple in the morning...
All the staff were extremely helpful and the room was spotless and very modern. The maid service was excellent and the location is ideal for escaping the craziness of the central city and is just 140 steps from Rocafort metro station.
I highly recommend Casanovas Deli/Restaurant a couple of doors down for take away snacks and they also have a really nice little restaurant/bistro tucked away round the back with a very helpful english speaking waiter.
Yet another great Barca experience...
