We used the internet to search for hotels and found this gem. We checked it out on advisor and decided to book. We couldn't have been happier! The rooms are bright and clean. All have views over the River Liffey in downtown Dubblin. Located right in Temple Bar makes it close to great Pubs and restuarants. It has it's own eating facility, the Eliza Blue, which is very good. The breakfasts are outstanding and great value. The management and staff are professional, coureous and friendly. We were concerned by reports that it may be noisy due to it's location. This hotel is not huge, it has 18 rooms.(I think.). You are not high above the street and because you are in the City center you will here the sounds of the city. It's pretty rare not to here city sounds unless you're 20 floors up! We were there a few days before St. Patricks day and festivities were starting up. I have no complaints at all about noise. Easy to reach from the Airport, hop on the 748 bus just outside the airports entrance and it drops you of at Aston Quay, about 2 blocks east of the Eliza. If you are going to Dublin and are looking for a clean, comfortable, well managed hotel in a superior central location, look no further, the Eliza Lodge is where you want to go. We are planning our next trip and the Eliza is our Hotel in Dublin.
