We had a fabulous stay at the Covent Garden. We spent eight days there in celebration of our fortieth wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we knew that we had chosen well. This is a beautiful hotel. It is like stepping into a fine manor house. The staff is beyond curteous and really can't do enough for you. Our room was lovely and very quiet and spacious. We were on the Monmouth Avenue side of the property which we were relieved to note due reviewers warnings. We booked a rate that included breakfast and found it to be tasty and plentiful. The drawing room and library were available for our use and were lovely but we were far too busy to really take advantage of it. The location of course is perfect, particularly for theater. We had a late night drink in the bar after theater each evening and found the bar staff to be fabulous as they remembered our preferences.During our last two nights our son phoned and requested that we be booked into their best available room (his treat) and we were moved to the magnificent loft room. This was a two story masterpiece and beyond our wildest expectations. What a nice surprise.I would love to stay there again. This hotel is very expensive so I suppose we will have to save for a long while. It is worth the expense particularly for a special celebration.
