i would suggest to anyone to stay here. it is a beautiful B&B and anne seems to be a wonderful person who makes sure her quests have the best time possible while visiting montreal...i will stay here each time i come to town...why look further when you have found the best

Because it was our first experience at a b & b we were naturally very leary. But the moment we met Ann and saw her beautiful home we were hooked. She was so extremely helpful with parking and helping us find our way around the city, it was truly a wonderful experience. Her home is so warm and inviting and she is a very gracious host. I stayed at Au Gitann for 4 days while I visited Montreal and ran the marathon on Sept. 9, 2007.
The host was extremely friendly and will accomodate you based on your needs.
Since she knew i was going ro run the marathon, she prepared some ice packs after my return.
The host will also provide you a map of the city, recommend your good places to go and to eat.
The location is perfect as it is right in the middle of the action and 2-3 blocks away from the main metro station Berri-Quam.

Having made use of the Montreal official website and the Fodor's travel book I came accross the Au Git'Ann website, amongst others. I had to send a number of e-mails requesting confirmation of availability to various bed and breakfasts.

Ann, the friendly and charming hostess, was the only person to write back with a polite and informative e-mail. This sold it and I booked my room right away.

Au Git'Ann is conveniently situated two or three blocks from the French quarter and a 10 minute walk from the main bus terminal. Having arrived before the check-in time, Ann was ready to greet me with a cup of coffee and a city map, pointing out places of interest and quality resaturants.

The rooms are each decorated in vibrant and energetic colours and the shared bathroom is always clean and well kept. You also have to choice to include breakfast in your stay if you don't wish to make use of the little kitchen yourself.

Au Git'Ann has a very welcoming and cozy atmosphere where you will meet interesting travellers and a most charming hostess.

I had a wonderful stay and as a solo traveller I always felt safe. I can recommend Au Git'Ann to anyone who wishes to stay in a safe, clean and decent establishment which is also well situated,
