“Great Stay”

Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel

We just came back from a 3 night stay at this property. The staff from the receptionists to the housekeepers were great and very accomodating. The location was excellent. Near the cruise ship, restaurants, and shops. Complimentary wired internet was great since other hotels charged $15-20/nite. The premier room was nice and clean although the Tvs brought us back to the late 80s. But they worked great anyway. We actually switched room from a premier corner king with a single pullout sofabed to a premier queen with a double pullout sofabed. The queen room layout was better for us with two small kids. And it seemed the bathroom was a bit larger too. Parking was a pain since the hotel charged $25 valet/nite. You could save money by parking at a lot across the hotel for $20/nite. But seriously, you don't need a car at all. We ended up using the public transportation without any problems, even with small kids. If you'd like to go swimming, the hotel would give you a pass to the local Y, which was only a couple of blocks away.

“Nice hotel with large bedrooms”

Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel

4 of 5 stars
York, Engalnd
Aug 7, 2008

The Delta is an all suite hotel so the rooms are large and very comfortable. As with othe Delta hotels I've stayed in, the bed was fantastic. The hotel is in a fairly good position very close to the seafront and gas town area.

We checked in late in the afternoon (after 4 pm) and our room was still not available which was a bit dissapointing considering the stated check in time was 3 pm. As the room was still not available 45 mins later we were eventually upgraded to a signature suite.

“Beautiful Hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver”

Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Toronto, Ontario

We stayed at the Delta Vancouver Suites for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay here. From the check in service, right down to our check out, the staff gave us great service. They provided a great place to eat breakfast when we missed the breakfast in the hotel. They gave us tips like using the sea bus and where to shop and go to certain attractions. Our stay would not of been this great without their help.

The rooms are clean and well done. We stayed in a Queen size signature room. Even though it was small, the bed was cozy for that great sleep we needed and the bathroom was nice (marble sinks and nice shower heads, etc...).

Parking was sort of a problem. They have parking not from their hotel building but have an arrangement for parking at the next building. It is expensive which is expected for being downtown (about $20/night). But the parking attendant would give us a parking ticket every day for parking overnight, making sure we pay the night's parking fee, which was odd. Also, you cannot park after 1:00 am, so if you do decide to leave at the late night hours, you cannot park back again.

Overall, great stay. Would come back if needed to.

“Good hotel in a great location”

Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Tempe, Arizona
Jul 30, 2008

I was able to spend a week at the Delta Suites hotel and enjoyed it very much. The staff was always very helpful, always with a smile and took the time to call me by my first name.

The rooms are fairly large, but well furnished and attractive. There are not may rooms on each floor so it doesn't feel that crowded. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows excellent and the air conditioner worked very well. In addition the internet (wired) was free and there were more channels on the TV than I could watch.

I didn't eat at the hotel, but the bar in the lobby took care of us the two nights we spent there. The hotel is very clean, I never noticed anyone really walking around cleaning, but from my hotel room, to the hallways to the lobby, it was spotless.

I suppose the only negatives is that the TV was on the old side, the alarm clocks didn't work with my iPod and there was no wireless internet in the rooms. I guess I'm being picky here, but if those things don't bother you, you'll enjoy the hotel.

“Fantastic location”

Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel

Jul 24, 2008

We stayed here for 7 nights with our two children aged 6 and 11. We arrived by stretch limo as a special treat for the kids ($48 dollars plus tip from airport, well worth it). Friendly and helpful staff on reception and nice warm cookies as well. Feel the staff should have flagged up that if leaving the hotel from the front of the building avoid turning right on West Hastings and also the street behind the hotel. We did and it was a real eye opener to us. Passing literally dozens of crack addicts and alcoholics wasn't a nice introduction to the city. They didn't pester us but it was a truly depressing sight.

Our suite was a separate bedroom with two double beds joined by a small corridor to a living space. Only three chairs so always a fight who sat on the floor. In retrospect I'm sure we could have asked for another chair, however to be honest we were really only in the room to wash, change and sleep - Vancouver is a city filled with things to do.

We did try to upgrade to save the hassle of finding somewhere to have a decent breakfast each day but because we travelled with children we couldn't do that as there is a free bar with this upgrade and they don't allow children in.

Vancouver is a really great base for a family holiday and we had things to do every day. Highlights included a trip to Grouse Mountain, the Aquarium, water taxi across to Granville market and of course Stanley park.

We would have liked a pool but the location of the hotel made up for the lack of it.
