“Sailing on the Tucan - our best-ever cruise excursion”

We sailed on the Tucan last week while in the port of Cozumel as part of a Caribbean cruise. This was the most awesome excursion we have ever taken while on a cruise. Cozumel Sailing and the crew of the Tucan is reliable, trustworthy and skilled in seamanship.
We were a bit leary booking a long excursion, outside of the cruiseline. They made sure we had time to get back to the port in time to meet our ship. They had taxis waiting at the marina to take us to the cruiseship docks.
Value-wise, you cannot go wrong. We felt we recieved so much more than we paid for. Snorkeling, lunch, cool drinks - which the crew would bring to you if you just raised your hand (or even if you didin't, they were constantly checking). The Captain kept us out of a fierce (and huge) thunderstorm, so we never missed a minute of fun. Lunch - let me tell you, it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The food was drool-worthy and the atmosphere very enjoyable.

To the captain and crew of the Tucan: you are the best. Till we see you again, stay safe!

“Great Day Trip!”

Cozumel Sailing

May 20, 2008

My husband and I went out on the Tucan on May 15, 2008. We had a fantastic trip with them.

Everything went smoothly. When I booked, I was given great directions on how to get to the boat from where we were staying on the mainland. When we arrived, we quickly paid and were welcomed aboard!

We set sail and made our way to a nice snorkeling spot where we could see lots of different tropical fish around a couple of small reefs. We then got ferried to a small island where we just hung out for a while, then back to the boat for a tasty lunch! After lunch, we did the spinnaker rides - my husband had a blast with that!

Kim, Juan and Jaime were a fantastic crew and catered to our every need. The drinks were free flowing, the food was great and plentiful, and there were smiles all around. I highly recommend this trip!

Our only disappointment was in the snorkeling itself - we've seen much better in Aruba, Turks, and other Carribbean locations...but this was through no fault of the crew - just the location I guess.

Would definitely take this trip again!

We booked a cruise with the Tucan on April 21st. I have to say it was the best excursion we did during our entire trip. The crew, Juan, Kim, Hyny(?) was the best. Lunch was awesome, drinks were great. The spinaker was a blast. I will definetly be back. There may or may not be other trips cheaper, but in this case you get what you pay for. It was worth it.

“What a great day”

On the recommendation of the B&B we stayed at, we booked a day out sailing. What a great way to end our time in Cozumel. We rode the waves for a while chasing flying fish and following a pod of dolphins. We snorkelled on a small reef. We walked the beach on Passion Island. We ate good food, drank some nice beverages and generally enjoyed ourselves immensely. Then they rigged up the spinnaker and we got to fly. One of us is usually afraid of heights, but she did not want to come down.
The crew was great, and the boat was excellent. This is a must do for your time in Cozumel!

When I booked this trip I was a little hesitant to do an all day excursion, but it turned out we didn't want it to end. Our family never went sailing before, and this trip sold us to do it
again and again. The staff was attentive, we met some great people, and we had great time. Be prepared to see every color of Carribean blue water. The snorkeling was OK, and you get some time on the beach, but the best fun is the spinaker ride.
