I just returned to Playa fiesta for the 4th time after my husband and I were married there 5 years ago. This time we traveled with a large group of friends and after arriving we settled into relaxation mode before all of the guests arrived on Tuesday. We got to spend some time with Adam and Lindsay who are two of the happiest people on earth. The work that they do helping people have amazing experiences is truly a gift. One of my favorite things about playa fiesta is the sound of the waves on the beach rocks. I always seem to unwind right away and feel so content just hanging out at the hotel.

When everyone started arriving, the party had begun. We had a great time going on adventures or enjoying time by the pool. Most of my friends have children now and the kids had so much fun, literally only leaving the pool to eat something. Our wedding 5 years ago was great and a week there with out the wedding was still a party to remember! I want to thank Adam and Lindsay and the staff of Playa Fiesta for once again a fabulous time! And like always, I cannot wait to return to Puerto Vallarta and Playa Fiesta.

First let me say that I've attended over 35 weddings and have been involved in a third of them, but I'd never been to a "destination wedding" before and I was a little concerned about how my bro and SIL were going to pull this off since everything was so far away. Never having been to Mexico, I didn't know what to expect from the venue or the city.

Everything was fabulous and my bro and SIL pulled it off with help from Adam and Lindsay and their tremendous staff. Adam was around and in and out throughout the week, making sure that things were going smoothly and charming everyone with his big smile and attention to business. Lindsay coordinated the wedding, did a great job doing it, and even made the miracle of keeping my chronically late brother, SIL, and SIL's mother on time so the wedding started right when they wanted it to!

Playa Fiesta is a small hotel so everyone around is a relative or a friend or about to be a relative or a friend - and the staff are among those friends you haven't met yet. They take care of you, learning your name and pouring your favorite drink and keeping them coming from the moment you arrive. Leave your camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, book, and/or lover at the pool overnight? They'll be there, lined up on the bar in the morning. Since it's a small place, security is not a problem, though there are small lockers in the closets for your passport and wallet - neither of which you'll need while you're on site.

All food is served buffet style and is never crowded. Hot food is hot, not tepid, and the platters are never empty. Again, the benefits of a small hotel. Because you get to know the staff you don't have to worry if you have food allergies - it's easy to find out if you shouldn't eat something. The drinks as I mentioned, are wonderful.

Playa Fiesta is not located at a swimming beach, but this didn't even bother my mother and my aunt who are beach junkies. There's a very nice beach nearby. I spent my time hanging out in one of the pools with a drink in my hand looking at the beautiful view and talking with friends or just chilling - that's heaven to me. My bro and SIL planned activities but I just sat in the pool, marveling at what a great time I was having. Even my husband, who's not the most social creature in the world, had a total blast here. Trust me, that is high praise indeed. We're totally planning on coming back here for our next "zero" birthday.

I'd also like to mention that this is the first wedding I've been in where I didn't have to do anything as a bridesmaid. I didn't even get out of the pool until 90 minutes before the ceremony. Lindsay, with Adam's help, did it all, and I know my SIL appreciated that a lot. As a bridesmaid I sure enjoyed being around a really relaxed bride. (-:

I know that Adam and Lindsay were remodeling room by room when we were there - maybe by now that project is finished. My husband and I stayed on the second floor and thought we had the best room in the place, but everyone thought they had the best room. I think someone even slept out by the pool one night - certainly that would not be allowed at a more uptight hotel, as neither would drinking in the pool all night long.

If you're looking for a fancy, "luxurious" roses-and-silk enormous resort this is not the place for you. But if you like a down-home vibe, this place will feel like home to you. Just a heck of a lot more fun!

Loved loved LOVED Playa Fiesta! Will remember that magical week for a lifetime and am so sad it’s over. We want to go back! We had 47 guests all of whom have raved about the "vacation/wedding of a lifetime" Some have even sent us thank you cards for having our wedding in such a great spot! We chose Playa Fiesta based on the reviews from this website, the responsiveness of the owners, and the customizable wedding packages they offer. It was a dream come true!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone who is looking for a low-stress high-satisfaction wedding! And like so many reviewers before us, we just can't imagine a better place or experience for our wedding. If you want these types of quotes from your guests “this has been, like, the best trip ever,” or “wow, you guys threw quite a party. It blew us away.” Or “This has been the most incredible wedding.” Then you should book at Playa Fiesta! These are actual quotes from our guests. Playa Fiesta is beyond fantastic.

Anyone who says otherwise is either crazy or clueless. A previous reviewer must have been expecting a generic glitzy resort with brides running amok, and far-far removed from Mexican culture, but not us. We wanted a personal and intimate event, and that is just what we got. It was like staying at your favorite Aunt and Uncle’s who happen to be fantastic hosts, and who keep the party going, but always in the best of taste!

Adam & Lindsay (The owners) are fabulous people and will make you feel like you are their only client. No kidding! Last minute changes or requests? No problem! Never have I seen such attention to detail. The staff is amazing, you would think they were trained at the Ritz or Disney! But they add a personal touch. They became like part of the family after a week. The food is excellent, and the view is amazing. The swimming is splendid. We will be going back to stay for fun, and we will look forward to seeing all our friends we made. Playa Fiesta couldn’t have been more perfect.

Do yourselves and your friends and family a favor & get married at Playa Fiesta - you will thank your lucky stars you found this little gem in Puerto Vallarta.

Have you ever felt let down by someone or something that you absolutely LOVED? We have... and it was Playa Fiesta Beachclub and Hotel that let us down.

Both my fiancé and I researched and researched wedding resorts and we stumbled upon Playa Fiesta Beachclub and Hotel. We quickly fell in love with the website and the reviews. We spend hours reading every review, looking at every picture and talking to others about our dream wedding at Playa Fiesta. After making the decision to have our wedding there we planned a mini-trip to see it for ourselves and to meet with Adam the owner and his wife Lindsey the wedding coordinator. We had every intention of setting up our big day and we couldn't wait....we knew everything that we wanted, after all we spent hours comparing pictures and deciding what we liked best.
During our flight to Puerto Vallarta I had tears of joy in my face. I could not stop thinking about the experience that we were about to embark on.

After arriving at Puerto Vallarta my fiancé and I hopped in a taxi.... and that's where our nightmare began......

We had an eye opening ride through the city of Puerto Vallarta. We were both under the assumption that when arrived at Playa Fiesta we would be in a nicer, cleaner, and safer area but we were not! Much to our surprise as we exited the cab we realized that Playa Fiesta is located on a hill, on an extremely small road, with in an unattractive setting. We were shocked at our discovery because the view from the front of the hotel is nothing like what expected from the website.

We were greeted by the hotel staff and were impressed with their friendly attitude and help. This was comforting but then they checked us in and brought us to our room where were speechless. After the hotel staff left us in our room we sat down and pondered what we had just gotten ourselves into. I never felt as helpless and naive as I did in that moment. My fiancé was feeling let down!!

To help you visualize and understand our disappointment I will describe the room that we had. The room was not maintained, not insect free, it had paper thin walls, the air conditioner dripped onto the floor and barely worked, the door handle fell off from the inside, and overall it did not meet the expectations that you would expect of a hotel that is rated so highly!

After much discussion and a feeling of emptiness in our stomachs we decided to give it a chance and attended a tasting that we had scheduled with Adam and Lindsey. The tasting took place in the outside restaurant at the hotel. In the same place where wedding receptions take place. The restaurant is small and located Oceanside... this was a plus... but the only one!
We sat through a tasting with Adam and Lindsey and although we were unhappy with the location we had an open mind and discussed wedding plans. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Adam was defensive and surprised that we were disappointed. He made us feel uncomfortable and tried very hard to impress us with his sales pitch...I would compare Adam to a car salesman! Lindsey on the other hand was very sweet and tried hard to relieve our anxiety. She was the reason that we made it through the dinner. After the dinner we walked around the resort and it did not take long. There really is not much to it. There are two small pools, one bar, and a restaurant. You can't get lost. I have to mention that the staff that works there were extremely friendly and tried their best to help us.

As for Adam... he dismissed us after dinner and we never saw or heard from him again. He never checked on us or invited us to discuss the hotel any further. The next morning we decided to check out and go to another resort in Nuevo Vallarta and spent the remaining days of our stay there! We will not be returning to Playa Fiesta Beachclub and Hotel.

“Wedding Perfection !!!”

Playa Fiesta Beachclub & Hotel

My husband and I booked our week long wedding at Playa Fiesta without ever visiting the resort first. We reviewed every comment on tripadvisor, and if so many people hand such great things to say, then this hotel must be good. Good is not the word I would use to describe our experience at Playa Fiesta. Perfect, would be the word mostly used by our family, friends, and most importantly the bride and groom.

What makes this hotel so special is the atmosphere! It is wonderfully intoxicating and addictive as each day becomes more and more memorable. From the accommodations, to the staff, everything has been beautifully choreographed by Adam and Lindsay. We were amazed by how much relaxation and "no stress" we had during our wedding week. How many brides can say that the week leading up to her wedding, was 100% stress free! The most I had to worry about was should I get a Margarita, or Mojito! TIP: Charlie makes the best Mojitos.

It has been 5 weeks since my wedding and every morning Chris and I get ready for work, we look at each other and say, " I miss Playa Fiesta."

I have to admit before my experience at Playa Fiesta, I was a little skeptical about the resort. Even after reading every post, and talking to Adam and Lindsay personally on a weekly basis. I kept telling myself, " be ready for disaster." But I am pleased to say like so many other Brides have already posted on tripadvisor, "Playa Fiesta has been the greatest vacation experience I have ever had."

Thank you Lindsay for doing such an amazing job for my wedding. Lindsay is the best wedding coordinator in the business. No one can come close to how wonderful she is, and how special she made me feel for my wedding.

If you are considering Playa Fiesta Beach Club for your wedding, feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. I can promise you will have the best week of your life.

Sincerely,

Natalie
