Just got back from a week stay at the Playa Fiesta for my brothers wedding and I would have to say it was one of the best experiences I have had at a wedding and vacation while in Mexico. This is a small resort that caters to you and allows you and other guests a truelly personal experience.
The STAFF
The staff on hand all week were polite, comical, knowledgable, service oriented. I barely had to ask for anything as they were always on hand asking me if I needed something. They quickly learn names which gives a personal touch and even your drinking preferences. No one had to worry about leaving items out during the week or rooms unlocked as there was a strong sense of security. Clean, organized facilities and regularly picking up after everyone makes the experience even more relaxing.
The LOCATION
I enjoy staying out of the bustle of the busy city, so the location farther south just out of town gave you a very secluded feeling but not soo far that you couldn't take a $7 taxi into the romantic section of PV and do a day of shopping or the many adventures available around town.
The RESORT
Amazing...Amazing...Amazing! Beautiful resort with the appeal of its smaller size, traditional decor, amazing views from almost every room, jacuzzis on many of the rooms balconies, great pool, comfortable lounge chairs, large rooms with amazing beds that truelly make it easy to relax and unwind, fresh flowers, and one of the best hamock beds I have ever slept on. Because of the beauty of the resort it is quickly tranformed into an amazing wedding site.
The FOOD
Yummm! Better food and service than I have had at many top resorts around the world. Some of the best fresh quacamole you have had in a long time. Miss it already.
Some minor draw backs:
- jacuzzi needed to be a little hotter most of the time
- not enough towels in the room - but easy to call up for
- room charges were incorrectly charged to rooms. Needed a better-more accurate system.
- booze cruise they recommend from the harbor was not very good but the ZIP lining was GREAT!
- no desert was served and what is a good vaca without a good desert. At least some traditional mexican ice cream or flan would have been nice.

My husband and I hosted our wedding at the Playa Fiesta last weekend and we cannot find the words to express how much we love our experience there. We highly recommend this unique place to anyone looking for a beautiful, intimate wedding or travelers looking for a wonderful place to stay. The owners, Adam and Lindsay were outstanding from start to finish. Planning any wedding (especially a destination wedding) can be quite stressful, however Lindsay’s impeccable organization made the entire planning process fun and enjoyable. We received numerous compliments on the hotel, the entire staff, Adam and Lindsay and the wedding! Many of our guests told us it was the most amazing wedding they had ever been to. We left less than 1 week ago and our friends are already asking us to plan an anniversary trip to the Playa Fiesta.

I was impressed from start to finish on how attentive Lindsay was to me as the bride and how accommodating she was with all of our requests. She has excellent taste and I felt completely comfortable taking her suggestions on everything from the photographer to the minister to the table decorations. She is a true expert in wedding planning and added so many small touches to make our wedding special. She was so prepared for anything that could possibly happen, that even a little rain and my dress ripping at the reception barely fazed me and took nothing from our wonderful wedding. After the wedding, one of my friends told me Lindsay is not only great at her job, but she could tell Lindsay truly cared about every detail of our wedding. The fact that she truly cares was more than obvious to me as the bride, but I think it speaks volumes about Lindsay that our guests noticed too. The hotel staff is incredible and knew each of us by name within hours of our arrival. They were so accommodating and the food was also outstanding! We received compliment after compliment on the food the wedding night and the entire week.

We expected the experience to be wonderful because we stayed at the Playa Fiesta once last year and had read so many great reviews, but our experience was still far greater than we ever expected!! We cannot say enough about this wonderful place!

How often do you go to a hotel and actually see the owners? Let alone hang out with them? Never. Not at Playa Fiesta because the owners have their hands in everything and make sure everyone is having a fantastic time.

All of the reviews on this site are right on. The wedding was outstanding, the staff, food, house dogs, drinks, rooms and overall idea of Playa Fiesta is better than you could ever dream.

The best thing for us was the personal attention given by everyone but especially by Lindsay (Owner/Wedding Coordinator) What ever we needed at any time she was available to help and it wasn't even our wedding - We we just guests and we were treated like royalty too!

This hotel is a gem and should be called 'Playa Fiesta Casa' because you don't feel like you are in a hotel rather in the warmth of someone's home.

We could not have been happier with our wedding week at Playa Fiesta!! We spent 5 nights there with our entire guest list and had the time of our lives. The team there is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are amazingly spacious and clean with views of the ocean and an open-air feel. You hear the ocean from every room. The honeymoon suite is amazing! The food was yummy and the menu choices extensive. Adam and Lindsay (the owners) make you feel right at home from the second you arrive. Lindsay has got to be the best wedding coordinator in the world!!
