Prior to my July 20th cruise I decided to find an excursion that was different and less crowded than the crusie line sponsored tours. I read some reviews on TA about Fat Fish Adventures that were very postive, but I remained skeptical. I emailed Peter at Fat Fish Adventures and he responded that same day. Based on my questions Peter customized a trip for me and my two sons (My wife decided to sit this one out-not very big on large sea creatures).
We arrived on Grand Caymen and Peter met us at the pre-arranged location promptly. We drove to where the waverunners were and the conversation flowed as if we had known Peter for years.
Upon arrival at the waverunners Peter gave us a safety briefing, provided us with our gear and off we went. I rode on one waverunner with my 10 year old and my 15 year old drove the other with Peter as the passenger. My son likes to compete with me so Peter got an E-ticket ride to Stingray City. He did not mind and we laughed and joked about it when we arrived.
Peter immediately picked up one of the largest Stingrays and showed us how to properly feed them. It was one of the most beautiful places on earth. From there we traveled to a reef area full of fish, lobster, and corals. Peter was about draw the lobster out of their hidden places with a little bit of squid. An absolutely perfect location for snorkeling. We then traveled to Caymen Kai for beverages, which was a beautiful and and relaxing beach. From there we traveled back to the car and then to the ship. The tour extended past the expected time by almost an hour, but Peter never seemed to expect any compenstation for the extra time spent.
If we had one more day on the island we would have definitely sought out another excursion with Peter and Fat fish Adventures. It was by far the best tour I have taken during my four cruises. Do not miss out on this one it was TERRIFIC.
Thanks Peter (Terry, TJ, and Justin)
