To Plymouth Meeting from Ardmore 20-25 minutes sounds about right; however, you have to go on Route 476 which is subject to rush hour traffic; so depending on time of day it could be more like 30-45 minutes.

It would be more convenient to stay either at the Crowne Plaza Main Line or Hilton City Avenue hotel.

You might also want to consider this Bed and Breakfast at Bryn Mawr College that someone recently posted about. It is located in Bryn Mawr, that's 5-10 minutes to Ardmore. http://www.brynmawr.edu/wyndham/rooms.html

How about staying in King of Prussia Instead? You'll be a lot closer to Ardmore, and there's more to do: King of Prussia Mall, bars and restaurants.

The Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza and is right across the street, and the Holiday Inn Express is within walking distance from the mall.

There is the Wayne Hotel right down the road and I will ask about that.

King of Prussia is so busy, but closer than Plymouth Meeting. The traffic on 476 can be brutal.

I forgot there's the Courtyard by Marriott, Devon. It's a three star, but in Devon everything is pretty nice.
