Great room but ongoing construction next door. Room was clean, updated, huge, nice kitchen, balcony, small view of beach. As i was there for business, I did not mind the noise that went all during the hours 8-5 - I was gone all day anyway. no restaurant or ameniites but a stones throw from the Hilton Hawaiian but half the... more

Regarding the construction of the The Grand Waikikian tower next door. Knowing this fact I requested a room on the other side of the hotel. With the doors closed and the air-conditioning activated the construction noise was nothing more then background noise. I didn't even bother our 2 year old was talking her afternoon nap at 3:00 pm. PROS: Closeness... more

For the price, it is an excellent value I wasn't sure about this hotel at first, because there is construction next door. The second day I was there, the staff upgraded me to a better location. The suite was nice and fully stocked with full kitchen except food, of course. The cleaning staff occasionally appeared but overall it was a... more

I was looking for a way to cancel our reservations after reading the bad reviews on this website. I am glad I didn't. The hotel was fine. We had read other reviews so knew where the check in desk was so that was not a problem and we didn't rent a car so didn't have a parking problem. There is... more

I had to stay for an entire week, while relocating for a job. Could not have been more pleased about the service and amenities the room had to offer. I had a clean, modern room that was very spacious and had decent views. Would recommend for anyone to stay at this location. Walking distance close to many attractions and restaurants.... more

Stayed a weekend at this property, which as others have stated, is a 'hotel-within-a-hotel.' A little concerned due to the reviews, but the full kitchen, walking distance to the park and the major mall swayed us in the end. And we didn't regret our choice! Luckily we had been informed when booking that the front desk was located on the... more

Based on the past few reviews, our expectations for this hotel within the Renaissance Ilikai were pretty low, however when we arrived our trepidation slowly subsided. I do say slowly due to tired exterior of the hotel and our experience during check in. When we checked in (on the second floor) our room wasn't quite ready yet. I should mention... more

Many, many problems. First day visit to office to be informed we'd been given a room for city view when we requested and paid for an ocean view. Office staff (especially one female) was very rude. After 2 days of "discussion" we were given the worst room (owner/rental) ever. It hadn't been updated since early 70s and certainly showed it.... more

Very strange place - since it is within another hotel. Went to the front desk not realizing this. They directed to the second floor to an office for check-in. (Well, once we finally got on the elevator.) The staff was okay, but not overly friendly. Our room on the 12th floor (city view) was not ready. Came back at check-in... more

We stayed in this hotel for a week, in January, 2008. Although I had read the reviews here and elsewhere, none of them really set out what's happening at this hotel. The positives: The hotel room we got was spacious, well-appointed, and very nicely cleaned. There was a good kitchen, a good bed, a couch, an armchair/ottoman, and a pleasant... more
