We stayed at The Barclay for one night. The room was gorgeous, the hotel is very nice in general. Our bathroom was too small, though, more appropriate for a 2-3 star hotel, and worst of all, gunk was up into the sink, making it utterly disgusting. When I complained to the management about it, they apologized and offered us free... more

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in November 2008. Reason I stayed here was b/c my friends & I got a good deal on the rate, if I had to pay normal rate, I probably wouldn't have chosen to stay here. It's more of an uppity place (neighbours are the Waldorf Astoria, W hotel, Marriott...you get the idea) and... more

My boyfriend found this hotel while we were looking for somewhere central to stay in the city. Staying in New Jersey at the time, we were excited to find something so central to all of our destinations, even our theatre we had tickets for. It was a bit of a walk from Grand Central, but maybe that's just because we... more

Although there are many nice things about this hotel (location, cleanliness, decor), I was very disappointed with the customer service. Everywhere else in NYC, people couldn't have been more gracious or friendly. At the Barclay, where we were spending the most money, the service was cool and not helpful. The woman who checked me in barely looked at me or... more

We stayed in a corner suite on the top floor. My wife & I in the bedroom and 2 teenage boys on the pull out sofa bed. The room was spacious even with the sofa bed out. The bedroom was also very roomy. Both rooms were appointed to a high standard and we were all impressed. The bathroom was lovely,... more

Just back from an excellent 6 night stay at the Barclay hotel. The hotel was a fantastic base for our tourist trip and central for all the things which we needed. The rooms were bigger than we were expecting as we'd heard reviews of tiny new york rooms - the room was probably a similar size to other double/king rooms... more

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights on as a tourist to New York with my 16 year old daughter. Rooms were fine, clean beds and bathroom. We found the location to be excellent for our sight seeing needs. The food and breakfast were really expensive, but there is a 24 hour deli opposite the hotel which does great food.... more

The Intercontinental The Barclay is a wonderful hotel. The staff is welcoming, organized, and the employees seemed happy to be there. The lobby describes the feeling of The Barclay -- lots of interesting people -- many on business, some in town for pleasure, a good many Europeans. For tourists, which I was on this trip, The Barclay is close enough... more

We stayed here last December around the holidays and have booked again for this December! Can't wait to return! It's a lovely hotel Midtown East. Just a couple of blocks from Grand Central station. Close to all the attractions in midtown. The accommodations are top notch. Very clean room and bathroom, which is always my biggest concern. Beds are plush... more

Myself and a friend each booked a room and we stayed three nights at the Intercontinental the Barclay New York. We found the rooms very clean and large enough for our needs. The bathrooms were smaller than some hotels but as we were in separate rooms that did not matter. There was always enough hot water and there were plenty... more
