The grace and charm of the Birchwood Inn is only exceeded by the gracious hospitality and the wonderful warmth that Nick and Andrew bring to the place. The Inn is from the 1700's and is filled with tons of antiques displayed throughout the rooms. The friendliness shown to the guests and the cuisine, which was second to none, made us feel... more

Options were provided for the breakfast and it was well prepared. Nick and Andrew also provided us with brochures and suggestions, which made our stay more enjoyable. We enjoyed our conversations... more

Many thanks to the co-owner Nick, who waited up till well beyond Midnight after I arrived late, but was still there to great me at nearly one in the... more

The Birchwood is owned by two Englishmen (life partners), one of whom has been detained in England due to an immigration issue. The inn reflects the owners' provenance, effectively simulating a small home somewhere within the English countryside, complete with a miniature "pub", dartboard, and many Anglo knick-knacks. The town of Temple is small, rural, and old. Classically New Hampshire,... more
