We stayed for 3 nights at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel using Marriott points, in November 2007. The check-in was good and fast, and our room seemed to have been recently updated, with interesting decor and furnishings. The Valet parking was fast and convenient, if a little overpriced, we felt. We didn't eat in the hotel, but used the adjacent HIghland... more

Hollywood was our second stop on our twin centre holiday, and after walking through LAX to baggage claim and driving along the highway to our hotel, I have to admit my heart was in my throat slightly, but after an hours drive we arrived at the hotel, and were plesently suprised. The foyer / valet entrance was very welcoming with... more

I booked this hotel because I was attending a convention at the hotel. Upon arrival I was greeted by a nice gentleman who checked me in. Something that was a bit unique about check in was that the desk agent actually came out from behind the desk to hand be the key to my room and pointed me in the... more

We stayed at the Renaissance for 6 nights. The room was lovely and we had a great view of the Hollywood sign. The room was clean and stocked well. The amenities were plentiful ~ they left us great toiletries every day. The hotel has several restaurants and a food court attached from the mall - the Kodak center. The staff... more

We booked this hotel for a twin centre trip to LA and New York. This was our first time in LA and we loved it! However we did not like the Hollywood area, at night, its scary, sleazy and not to safe and Im from a big city! however in the day its lovely to walk along the walk of... more

This place looks great but is not as nice as it seems. The service is pretty lazy and there's all kinds of weird things wrong with it. First of all, check out is at 11 a.m. and a late checkout is 1. For $50 you can get 6 (which is actually kind of nice). But, they never cleaned our room... more

I would not recommend this hotel for a family stay. few bad things - no fridge, no microwave, paid internet connectivity, paid/inconvenient parking, paid breakfast.. Worst is that pool is very small, has no life guards/life jackets for kids, there is no sauna/hot tub. Room setup is contemporary but furniture is low quality, carpets are dirty and I did not... more

Stayed at the renaissance for three nights. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Requested a fridge and received one within 5 minutes of entering our room. Staff at reception were very helpful and so were conceirge. Had a wonderful view of the Hollywood sign which was great. The fitness centre was excellent and the pool area was a great size.... more

We stayed here for a week in October. The hotel is in a great location, easy to get to all attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 18th floor and had a view of the Hollywood sign. The room was of good size and clean as well as the bathroom - but agree with... more

This hotel was right in the middle of everything in downtown Los Angeles. We could see the Hollywood sign from our room. The hotel has a walk way right to the Kodak Theatre, with its surrounding shops and restaurants. (Try the Koji rest.--yum!) The staff was very friendly, and the room was good sized and very clean. Easy to get... more
