This hotel has a lovely chilled out feel - a perfect escape from the madness of Bangkok. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished in a slightly quirky style. But the main selling point is the common areas and garden which are used for breakfast, snacks, massage, internet, etc. The hotel serves up a lovely healthy Thai breakfast each day... more

Everything you read about this place is true, a wonderful little oasis of calm amongst the choas of Bangkok. We paid to be met at the airport and driven to the Phranakorn which was well worth the money as we would never have found it otherwise. From the moment we walked into the place we were welcomed like family and... more

The taxi driver had to ask directions since this hotel is tucked away in a side street alley. I would suggest printing out their map to show the taxi driver. We were hesitant going in, but once inside, it really is like another world. Very relaxing, clean space. You can tell that it's been decorated and kept with lots of... more

This Hotel is a lovely tranquil haven in the middle of Bangkok. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and I would recommended this hotel, the Hotel is a a quieter area of Bangkok although close to the Khao San Road if you want a livlier time. The area is safe and we wandered around at all times of day... more

We booked our stay at Phranakorn Nornlen based on other reviews here.....and everything everyone says is true! It's a great oasis in the midst of Bangkok, tucked away down a back alley....our cab driver had to get out and ask directions from locals how to get us there. But once inside, it's fantastic. Picture an old 1940's dorm style school... more

I arrived in Bangkok after paying well over the odds for a taxi to the hotel, (for your own ecenomic purposes, get a taxi OUTSIDE the airport! :D) and for a while wasn't sure the guy actually knew where he was going! As some other travellers have mentioned in their reviews the entrance to the Nornlen is 'ominous' to a... more

lived up to all the reviews, this quirky hotel is ideal if you want to feel that you are living in Bangkok, not just looking out from another chain hotel. The staff are helpful and happy and I can recomeend their airport shuttle service. more

After reading such rave reviews on TripAdvisor and two attempts at a reservation (they are popular!), we finally secured a twin room for three nights in November. We had emailed with the hotel a few times to see if they could accept a package on our behalf- they did (3 in fact!). Everyone was super friendly and helpful during our... more

Very lovely stay - everyone was very nice and helpful. Good location - short walk to water taxi - plenty of tuk-tuks and cabs in the area. I had read that it was difficult for taxis to locate so we did the airport transport for our arrival - they gave us a map to show drivers and we had no... more

A true gem! It was a serene and welcoming environment - an oasis in a crazy city, but easy to get to everything. Staff was helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. I recommend it to anyone looking for a charming "guest house" environment. Lovely cafe, rooftop garden, quiet. more
