Have been staying in suk11 for 7 yrs , twice or trice a yr.I'm practically a regular there. but the staff are getting more and more arrogant. I first stayed here in 2000 and have been back several times since; most recently in 2008. This place really used to have it all. Great vibe, great value for money and great facilities. I have to report that it has myriad problems now. We can start with the price....you can now do so much better for your money all... more

Nice place to stay. I stayed twice here. Clean rooms (en suite) for 800B close to NaNa skytrain. Staff is friendly. Bar Cheap Charly around the corner is fun. Good deal! more

Suk 11 has lots of character as a backpackers hostel, even though the Sukumvit area is a melange of all sorts rather that the backpackers strip on Khao San. Suk 11 was a great place to stay for a few nights, although if you're after the typical Thai 'backpacker scene' you'd be best sticking to the Khao San Road area as Sukhumvit (the area in which this hostel is located) tends to attract more of an expat crowd. I booked three rooms at the Suk 11 Hostel for Friday the 25th of July. This hostel is a bit overrrated. We found much better value and quiter quarters round Banglaphu area after spending 4 night at SUK11. Sukhumvit Rd is more expensive in general and then you have to catch Skytrain or tube or taxi/tuk tuk to get to the major attractions or ferries. Great hostel within walking distance to the Bangkok Skytrain. Rooms are clean and hostel is decorated with an outdoors feel. Staff is helpful and there is a large free continental breakfast for guests each morning. Can't wait to go back!! more
