I guess we were expecting a lot after reading the reviews on this site. I travel to Thailand for business quite often and this was my first stay at the Sukhothai Bangkok. (for Two Nights) Everything went off well from check in to departure, with the exception of “spiders and cobwebs in our toilet”. After paying such prices and a... more

What a lovely hotel! Very elegant, sleek and modern. I suppose it does look like a large-scale business type hotel, but it has a lot of elegant touches throughout it, and the ambiance here borders on a Zen sort of calmness. For what you get, it is a surprisingly good value for the money. Great service, very nice breakfast. My... more

Sukhothai is indeed an oasis in the midst of the craziness thay is Bangkok. It is characterised by beautiful gardens and a cool sophisticated thai styling. The rooms are lovely - clever lighting system, funky tiled bathrooms and well appointed. Service is impeccable and the food is outstanding. And yet the resort is not a soul-less high rise. The only... more

Nestled among tall modern office buildings in the “embassy row” section of South Sathorn Road is an oasis of lush tropical gardens, water features, and traditional Thai pavilions and low rise buildings that makes up one of Bangkok’s best hotels - The Sukhothai. This extraordinary hotel is in a perfect location. Set well back from the busy Sathorn Road, you... more

I chose the Sukhothai to run an event at and stayed at their hotel as well. And what an experience it was! From the moment the taxi drove into the driveway I just knew I was in for a wonderful stay. It had greenery everywhere and was like a hidden jem amongst the tall gray buildings surrounding it. Check in... more

It is to my dismay, that such a hotel with a five star reputation does not know how to handle our situation. I have sent my email, pasted below, to the General Manager twice and have not had a response from anyone. I do not recommend this Hotel. "Dear Sir/Madam, From July 3rd to the 8th we were guests in... more

This hotel has been recommended by friends - it is right in the heart of the city and is truly exceptional for the service - we were collected from the airport by limo and checked straight into our room which had been upgraded to a Deluxe Terrace Suite. The rooms are in need of a little upgrade (maintenance wise only)... more

I just came back from a 4 night stay at the Sukhothai and enjoyed the experience. SERVICE The service was consistently excellent, from the point I stepped into the hotel lobby to the point of departure. The front desk staff seemed genuinely friendly and warm, and made me and my fiance feel welcome and comfortable. When I went into the... more

Probabily one of the best city hotel to the world. For the second time to the Sukho in deluxe room.In truth does not seem to stay at Bangkok. The hotel is all style zen minimalist. Large pool and very nice restaurant, The celadon is suberb. The hotel is pratically an oasis in a chaotic city. more
