Only one word can accurately describe the Metropolitan Hotel in Bangkok - AMAZING! I agree with another reviewer that the website photos do not do the hotel justice. Nor can they convey the fantastic level of service that is provided. Genuinely helpful and professional staff, fantastic food, great pool, hot tub and gym. The toiletries are simply devine. I was... more

This is one of my favourite hotels. Stayed at the Metropolitan for 4 nights on a tour of Southeast Asia and had a fantastic time. The hotel looked brand new and was spotlessly clean. The standard room was great value and had tons of space. Not to mention the bathroom was large and modern and had a great shower. If... more

We stayed at the Met for 3 nights. I really loved this hotel and I was really surprised to find out that hotel is much more beautiful in reality than the web site of this hotel reflects. I guess hotel should do better job on their website! I loved the design, the relaxig atmosphere of this hotel. We stayed at... more

I've been let down by so many called hip hotels (Point Hotel, Edinburgh, Hotel L'Manufacture, Paris are just two) that my expectations of designer hotels are generally quite low. However this place definitely delivered on both the quality and cool factors. Its not much to look at from the outside which only serves to blow you away when you walk... more

Wow!!Stayed here as we landed in Bangkok at the start of a 6 week trek around Thailand and it was unbelievable! When we arrived it was very early and our room wasnt ready, so we were relieved of our bags and invited to eat breakfast in one of their 2 restaurants, choice of an american breakfast or "organic healthy" breakfast...wanting to... more

What a beautiful & relaxing hotel. Although super chic & trendy the atmosphere is informal & relaxed. The staff are adorable; we wanted to take the boys from the front desk & the girls from the restaurant home with us, they were so friendly & sweet. The food in the Cy'an restaurant is of a very high standard & is... more

You know the Metropolitan is hip when you see that all the staff are dressed in Comme deGarcon outfits. Informal wardrobe but classy enough to make it look sheik. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The meals were very good too. I particularly liked the bar which has great cocktails and excellent food. The swimming pool is big so... more

My criteria for choosing a hotel on this occasion was that I didn't want to feel like I was there on business, that I didn't want to be jossling at breakfast with rich pensioners and I wanted a 5*, preferably that was well styled. The Metropolitan perfectly fit the bill. The service was as good as I would expect. The... more
