On the road to the legendary valley of Ourika, inside a humble village gate across two arcane doors, with sculpted arcades, discover an uncommon and original place: Jnane Leila - guest house, restaurant, & spa. Designing and building Jnane Leila, in imitation of a Berber village, required the use of traditional skills and materials which confer great elegance to the place: the laterite mud, hand made desert-color bricks, uncovered beams and supports, wrought iron, atlas ksours decorations and tadelakt. more » « less

During our trip through Morocco we've stayed at Jnane Leila for two nights. During these days we've enjoyed eating at the restaurant and relaxing in the lovely garden. This hotel build like an old Moroccan village looks very nice. The rooms surround a great garden with swimming pool. The service is good and we really enjoyed they’re hospitality. The kitchen... more

We arrived for a two night stay from 2nd May 2008, and were in awe at the rustic charm and beautiful garden oasis that greeted us. The attention to detail around the gardens, green grassed and flora and fauna was constant, unlike the service!! Admittedly we had arrived an hour earlier than the midday check in and were told to... more

Having booked two nights at this hotel and paid our £100 deposit we turned up to discover that the price of our suite was not going to be the £90 per night we'd expected but £150 per night. With two young kids in tow we decided to give the guy on reception the benefit of the doubt and swallow the... more

If you need an example that even in Moroco places of non-hospitality do exist - go to this place. Throughout our two week travel thru southern Moroco, that was definitely the worst place (all the others were excellent!!). Although the hotel itself is new and pretty well made (clay buildings, nice decoration, nice garden), the staff managed to quickly run... more

Our family of four spent four days in Jan 2008 at the beautiful Jnane Leila Hotel in the southern Marrakech suburbs. We had been a little nervous about booking as we usually check out our holidays on hotel review websites and found only one review but we decided to have faith and go by the stunning pictures of the hotel... more

I spent 3 nights at the Jnane Leila with my mum and my sister last weekend. We wanted somewhere authentically Moroccan and it definitely fitted the bill. It is a little way out of Marrakesh but not so far to be a problem and the taxis are very reliable. The hotel arranged a taxi to collect us from the airport... more

The property had beatiful gardens, swimming pool and spacious rooms. The staff were very friendly. It was an excellent place to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of Marakesh, listening to the birds singing and cooling down in the swimming pool. Superb views of the Atlas Mountains could be seen from the roof terrace above the restaurant... WOW!!! However,... more
