A wonderful riad. An oasis of calm and gorgeousness! The decor is elegant. Sebastien, the co owner is fantastic-really helpful and a mine of knowledge. Add to that brilliant, friendly staff; and you may never want to leave Dar Vedra! You must have at least one meal cooked by Rachida (the in house chef), I can guarantee it will be... more

We booked our airport transfer direct with the riad which in my opinion is highly recommended if you have never been to Marrakech before or don't speak French or Arabic. We were taken by minibus and dropped off in the street outside the riad. At first we thought oh my god where are we going, then this small door was... more

The Dar Vedra was a beautiful and welcome respite from the sometimes overwhelming medina. First of all, the location is excellent, but be warned: it is right next to a mosque who fire up their call to prayer speakers at 4:30 am. It will wake you up. And this is the only caution I have to give about Dar Vedra.... more

Sebastien greeted us and showed us the route to the Jemma el Fna. He was perfect host and had no problem when we asked if we could cancel one nights pre-booked accomodation due to the fact that the temperature was a little hot to undertake our desert tour, They serve the best mint tea we had during our stay and... more

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was truly the most romantic, relaxing and special part of our trip. Sebastien, co-owner of the riad, was so helpful in getting us acquainted with Marrakech, organising trips for us, or suggesting places for us to eat (although I have to say, our favourite meal of all was the home-cooked one we... more

We arrived here and Sebastian showed us to the green room, I'd checked the web site and had fantasised about it, and it was beautiful, we loved opening the french windows onto the plunge pool courtyard and looking out. As another reviewer has said this is a wonderful oasis of peace from busy Marrakech and Sebastian is the perfect host,... more

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Morocco. Whilst in Marrakech we stayed at Dar Vedra in the heart of the medina. It was fantastic! Our rooms were gorgeous, the staff went out of their way to assist, the food was delicious and the location could not be bettered. On arrival late in the afternoon after 3 days... more

Dar Vedra is a lovely small hotel centrally located in the Marrakesh medina, though also close to the Ville Nouvelle. With only a few rooms, it is still a spacious spot with many private places to sit and relax. Each room has been beautifully and comfortably decorated; the tiny pool provides a refreshing break after a day in the hot... more

Enjoyed four lovely nights in this riad located just 15 minutes walking from the Katoubia and the place Jemaa El-Fna. We arrived after midnight and were met at the airport by a driver sent by the riad. The place is located in a small street that would be very hard for the first time. The riad is beautifully decorated with... more

This place is Bliss... out of the madding crowd outside in the souk into the peace and quiet of Dar Vedra, was like a dream come true. Traveling on my own I was lucky to find such a great place with a single ensuite room with AC. Because it has a deep and wonderfully refreshing central patio and the terrace... more
