We stayed at Castlewood for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer, if nothing else for the porridge/Baileys/cream, pancakes and anything else Brian was cooking for breakfast. The hotel was a short walk to the main part of town, our room had a great view over Dingle Bay, the room was spacious, each room we saw was decorated... more

We stayed here for five days, at the end of our two week trip to Ireland. Dingle is a lovely and charming town (especially if you visit a bit after the crush of peak tourist season) and we couldn't have picked a more delightful place. You've likely read all the other glowing reviews, so all I can really add here... more

Castlewood House was nothing short of fantastic. Brian & Helen welcomed us warmly and were helpful in suggesting "must see" sights. The pancakes were the best I've ever had. Other reviews raved about the porridge with Baileys, but the Pancakes were better. The room was large, comfortable, and very well appointed. The bathroom was nice & the jacuzzi tub was... more

Dingle and Castlewood House were the highlights of our recent trip to Ireland. Everything about this accommodation was done right: from the moment we arrived and were greeted graciously by Helen, to the fantastic breakfasts and inviting lounge, this is a first class act. This is a B+B that is closer to a hotel experience in many ways. It was... more

Although I did not ask the reason for the name "Castlewood House", this luxurious B&B is run like a castle because we were treated like royalty! Helen & Brian have established an elegant, yet cozy inn with every amenity and comfort necessary for a relaxing and memorable stay. Our room was huge with the best bathroom and shower in Ireland!!!... more

The Castlewood is wonderful..a perfect place to spend some time. Brian, the host, was so helpful with tips for restaurants and maps, etc. The house is beautifully decorated with antiques and artwork and so nicely laid out in every respect. Our room was fantastic with every need seen to and a huge bathroom and a great view of the bay.... more

This is a LOVELY Inn- very new, yet furnished and run like an established, highly rated hotel. We arrived at low tide, and wondered about 'the view'- the tide does come in, and this fishing village is wonderful. The minute we walked in, we saw fine antiques, amazing artwork everywhere, and a living room we would have loved to relax... more

I echo all the positive comments on Castlewood! I was debating between this place or Emlagh House. Emlagh seemed a little more luxurious in its furnishings, but the price, food quality and the views made Castlewood more appealing in the end. I didn't regret the choice! Helen worked hard to fit me in (despite a few changes in dates) and... more

We brought my wife's parents to Ireland for their first trip and went stayed at Castlewood for the first two nights. Helen was extremely helpful in getting us settled early on arrival. The rooms were absolutely fantastic and breakfasts were fantastic. I recommend the kippers. I have done a lot of Europe travel and always find the first hotel to... more
