I can highly recommend the Wald-Hotel in Troisdorf for anyone traveling to the Bonn/Koln area. I stayed there for several days while my son was participating in an athletic event in Bonn and found the owner, Wolfgang, an extremely personable and helpful person. The room we stayed in was huge (even compared to US sized rooms), very comfortable, and affordable.... more

We stayed at this wonderful family-run hotel for a few days last month. The owners are very friendly and helpful and gave use some great suggestions for the local sights. Not far from the Cologne airport and a nice change from large chain hotels found in the bigger cities. more

My wife and I stayed here in May 2004. We visited Germany for the first time and lucked out to stumble upon this little family-run hotel in a convenient location between Bonn and Cologne. Recently we were travelling in Germany and had the opportunity to visit the Waldhotel. We were greated by friendly staff and owners who spoke english well. The hotel was outside of the town by the forest and a little quiet. Rooms were decorated nicely and comfortable. Next time we go to the Cologne-Bonn area we will also stay there. more
