I stayed at the Cromwell the first time August this year and had no reservations on bookng again for a stay in October. We travel here on business a bit and its convenient to the office as well as an excellent location for shops to grab a juice before work or takeaway Indian after work.. Rooms are always interesting -... more

This hotel was a let down in a number of ways. Firstly the room was very cold - not a warm day outside. After fiddling with the radiator controls for a while I asked if there was any heating, and was reassured that a few guests had said they were also cold and the heating engineer was on his way.... more

I would like to write in response to the reviewer that wrote on the 21st September about her experience of the Ramada Cromwell, Stevenage. I would first like to offer my sincere apologies that we were not able to resolve the problems that she experienced with the heating during her stay. Stayed just for one night on business. The room was OK, not the most modern, but clean and adequate. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet so I slept well. After reading a previous review I expected the breakfast service to be slow but it was not. The breakfast was cooked to order and was perfect. They have... more

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions, mainly because it is close to where i have a business to visit. The reastaurant has never been that good in my opinion. The rooms can be in a noisy depending on which area of the hotel you stay in. The staff apart form the girl on reception tend to... more

Stayed at this hotel for one night with my son aged 13. Our room was very noisy as over a wedding party disco and we needed an early night. When I contacted reception they immediately arranged our move to a quieter ( and Larger ) room even though the hotel was very full. Food in restaurant very good although a... more

Stayed here as part of a company away day. Was dubious at first but the location is on a busy high street with many little takeaways and cafes nearby. The high street generally smells of food no matter what time of day you are passing through. We had the use of the Cromwell Room which was just right for our... more

I stayed for 4 nights and never managed to get a hot breakfast once despite many complaints. The service at breakfast is the slowest I have ever seen anywhere and I am a frequent traveller. This is a pity as the hotel otherwise was not too bad. The room I was in was a bit shabby but otherwise the hotel... more

Good location on Stevenage High Street. Nice restaurant and bar ? recently and stylishly refurbished, serving good food. This manages to lift the hotel as a whole above sheer mediocrity.Upstairs, the building is something of a maze: one almost needs a map to find the bedrooms, and there was no offer of help with my bags. The bedroom itself was... more
