This hotel is excellent, we booked a special dog package as we had the dogs with us on vacation. It is in a fantastic location with a nice bar downstairs. I've stayed in this hotel in July 2008. I know many of four star hotels in various cities in Europe and in comparison, I was very disappointed with this. Breakfast is good, but the rooms are very conventional, and the materials used are banal. It is just a place to sleep ... but expensive! more

Stayed for two nights at the First Amaranten while at a congress in Stockholm. On first impressions it was a nice place. The reception is spacious and the staff were friendly and pretty efficient at getting taxis and such like. The Business traveller needs a bit more. Positives: Breakfast is outstanding - one of the top 10 I have had. The hotel lobby is pretty cool. The room has to be the smallest I've ever had, and for the price. Also, the doors open out. The room was nice, but tiny. Its greatest assest is being a walk down to the Tunnel Bahn, and proximity to the city centre. more
