The Pousada Maria Cristina indeed is one of the nicer Pousadas in Portugal, as Frommers suggests (linked to by this site). An excellent hotel in a beautful setting with a lovely pool and well kept gardens the service was excellent, the food good though it would be hard to compete with the restaurant next door (O Cabritino) The rooms are nicely done .We had a huge veranda over looking the countryside you could see for miles. we`ll be back, Val. more
