Me and 5 other girls stayed in the Market and City Oasis apartments for two nights over a weekend. I stayed in the City Oasis apartment which is for 4 people. The apartment is in a building about a 5 minute walk from the Hotel and Coffeeshop and 2 blocks from the Red Light District. The apartment was spacious and... more

Two of us went to Amsterdam(our third time in the capital), the last time we were really dissapointed with our hostel ( Irish bar, above), very dirty and miserable. What a difference at the Greenhouse effect! I was so impressed the minute we opened the door from the street(which is a card entry system), the steep stairs (as always) and... more

Location was superb, but I found the apartment to be a bit run down and dirty. The floor behind beds had not been swept in a long time, and there is built up grime in corners etc. There are heaps of mice that spend the whole night running through the walls - one even tried to get onto my bed!!... more

I've been to Amsterdam many times and have stayed in all manner of places. If you are in a group and on a budget or want something quirky then I would highly recommend this place. We stayed in two quad-apartments and they were great fun. Centrally located, albeit on the edge of the red-light district, everywhere was easily accessible -... more

Nestled among the many hotels, restaurants, and coffeeshops of Warmoestraat is The Greenhouse Effect Hotel, Bar, and Coffeeshop. The location is superb, close to the Central Station, the Dam, and Nieuendijk, as well as the Oude Kirk and the Red Light District. The rooms, as most in Amsterdam, tend to be small, but they are comfortable. Most are themed, offering... more

One of my best friends booked the Global Fusion apartment along with 3 other apartments (2 of which were in the same building as ours above Cafe Poco Loco) for her hen weekend for 3 nights. Our apartment has recently been renovated and had a great standard of accommodation. The apartment had lots of space and an impressive amount of... more

We stayed in the Redman room for three nights in June and really enjoyed the stay. We had to share shower and toilet but were impressed by the cleanliness and weren't bothered at all with this arrangement. We never really used the bar or Coffee shop as there are just to many places to try. The room was very small... more
