Stayed at the Catalonia Moratin for 4 nights in July. The hotel is in a perfect location, 5 mins from nearest metro and just around the corner from Plaza Santa Ana, Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Hotel very modern & clean, staff friendly & efficent. Air conditioned room very welcome after Madrid heat. Excellent value, would recommend. more

Got cheap Easyjet flights and booked this reasonably priced 4* hotel via Expedia - all went very well. The hotel was excellent quality, breakfast was superb and location was a short walk to almost anywhere. Lots of good bars, restaurants and shops nearby as well. Buy a metrobus pass if you need one. Used metro rather than go to the... more

can't review because despite booking in advance, on arrival apparently some rooms were closed and we redirected to another hotel in chain - they were apologetic and paid for taxi and the other hotel was fine.....but disappointing that a booking didn't appear to guarantee a room! more

This is a nice hotel - very easy to get to by the underground. It was very quite considering it faces out on to a busy street. The staff were very pleasent and courteous. Breakfast was very good although the dining room is a bit cramped. It is a perfect location from which to visit all the major sites. One... more

We booked a room from two months in advance and when we showed up, because of complete mismanagement, we were sent to another hotel, which was a good hotel to be honest. But then we left for Barcelona and on the second leg of our trip back in Mardid, again they refused to give us a room and sent us... more

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. It is very easy to get to from the airport and Madrid's metro is very cheap and relatively easy to use. The hotel is very central being round the corner from Puerta del Sol. On first seeing the hotel it appeared rather shabby from the outside. On arrival at the reception we were told... more

This hotel is a joke! Whilst we stayed there, on our second day, myself and my girlfriend room and four other rooms got robbed! Yes, someone entered the hotel through the reception, in the night, without anyone seeing him/her and opened the doors to the rooms without getting traced by the card key machine. We then realized, the next morning,... more

This was our first visit ( 57 year old and 63 year old). Our son found the hotel as a special deal and we stayed 4 nights. It is really easy to get to using the metro from the airport. We arrived very late on Sat. in May. but found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. At 11.30 pm... more

Stayed there for 3 nights in late Fed 2007. Our room is on the 3rd floor facing the main street. Overall the experience is good. The room is nice and clean. It is quiet although it is facing the street. Nice size of bathroom but the shower temp was not stable. wireless Internet access is provided by a third-party telecom... more

We stayed for two nights at the hotel in late January 2007. Travelling from Atocha train station to the hotel proved to be very simple - two metro stations (to Tirso de Molina) and a then a 5 minute walk the Plaza Tirso de Molina. The hotel is located directly opposite Calle Relatores, but this road is narrow and (at... more
