While visiting Madrid for a week on business, I selected this hotel because of its proximity to my office. Little did I know it was going to be such a great experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the room was incredibly beautiful, large and sparkling clean. I was upgraded to a Club floor which included breakfast each morning. As a... more

Stayed three nights here in a suite, which was nice, big, full of amenities and absolutely clean! Large bathroom with separate shower. The shower door didn't close entirely, so watch out when adjusting the angle of the shower head... You might ''overflow'' the rest of the bathroom :-) The only downside of the room might be the rather old, small... more

We have just returned from a 3 days trip to the IC Madrid. Booked an IC clubroom but got at checkin an upgrade to a suite. Although being a 5 star hotel I don't understand why they ask € 8,56 for a beer, water or softdrink. They IC clublounge only offered limited food and drinks. Because the lounge doesn't have... more

It is located short walk to Serrano street shops and fast taxi ride to museum district. We keep returning choosing the Club level. Its Club intercontinental Lounge is a relaxing place with wide breakfast offer however with VERY limited offer during the rest of the day compared to the other InterContinental Club lounges! They should monitor it and keep the... more

The hotel is beautiful. Modern, plush, spacious, imposing and most importantly well located. The room was fairly traditional, nicely proportioned and had a small balcony offering great views of the Madrid skyline (note: we had a high floor). The service was, on the whole, impeccable. However, I consistently had problems with staff in the restaurant (and there was no language... more

We've recently returned from a weekend in Madrid and were fortunate enough to have stayed at the Intercontinental. The hotel itself is very clean and the room we stayed in was fantastic. On returning from a shopping trip on our first day we arrived back in our room to find an ice bucket with a chilled bottle of Brut Cava,... more

My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental for 2 days in early April. The hotel was nice, but we had a room that overlooked the lower rooftop heating or a/c vents, so absolutely no view. We also had 2 twin beds pushed together, and I'm pretty sure that's not what I booked. The room and bathroom were very nice.... more

The Intercontinental Madrid is located on the Castellana, in short walking distance to Serrano luxury shopping area and within few minutes taxi ride to the centre of the city (Sol). It overlooks the busy street, but fortunatelly the room was completely soundproof. Upon request, seamless limousine airport transfers were provided. Staff are very kind and helpful throughout the hotel. There... more

I have stayed at this hotel three times in the last year whilst on business, I always in a standard room with king size bed. The hotel is of a reasonable standard and is definitely aimed towards the business traveller. Pros: • Clean rooms • Good room service • Great bar and restaurant • Water pressure in the shower Cons:... more

I stayed in a regular room with a king-sized bed. The room was not huge by U.S. standards but the furnishings were top-quality and comfortable. The marble bathroom was very large with seperate tub, great selection of toiletries and big 100% cotton towels. Coffee machine, iron with full ironing board and other amenities in the room. The bed was amazingly... more
