This is a true five-star hotel. The faultless but friendly, service; the gorgeous lobby, the beautiful antiques throughout, the fine bed linens, the little comforts, plus the perfect location all contributed to our happiness for the six days my husband and I stayed there. It is big enough to offer privacy but not so large as to feel impersonal. It... more

Still one of Madrid's great hotels despite the fact not much money seems to be going on improving its facilities, rooms included. Its greatest assets are its location - just a few steps away from the museums - and its garden where you can eat and drink (but at what prices!!). Good service, pleasant staff. When reserving, make sure you... more

We booked the Ritz for it name expecting 5 stars standard. But we were very disappointed its below an average. We booked 5 nights, the first room had chidren chair and the bed was overused and damaged my back. We complained and were reluctantly moved to a better room. The following day were given wrong direction by conceirge we spent... more

We first stayed at the Ritz in the mid-80s and have returned numerous times. The Ritz has a beautiful garden to have a a drink, a sherry or a glass of wine, and a great terrace to have breakfast. The Ritz adjoins the Prado, is near the other art museums, is near the Retiro (great for a jog), and is... more

Checked in at this grand hotel + were given a fabulous room. Staff were lovely + could not do enough. Only had breakfast at the hotel which was plentiful. Hotel in a great location next to the Prado + a short walk from El Retiro park. Really enjoyed this romantic stay! more

The Ritz is a lovely old fashioned hotel. It is very central next door to the Prada gallery and within walking distance to most of the attractions. We arrived on a Saturday evening and were given a room on the 5th floor. On the original booking it had said that we might be upgraded to a larger room. We mentioned... more

Staying at the Ritz was like staying in a museum. From the time we entered the lobby to the comfort of our room, we had a feeling as though we'd stepped back in time. The service was excellent, the facilities first rate, and the overall experience unmatchable. We've stayed in Four Seasons/Ritz Carltons in the US and the decor in... more

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Ritz in November. Before we arrived, I was somewhat concerned as some other reviewers had expressed displeasure with their accommodations. I must say that I was thrilled by our stay. As most mentioned, the lobby and the lounge areas behind it are absolutely gorgeous. The dining room's food and service at... more

A romantic weekend in the Ritz with my girlfriend and I enjoyed every minute. They could do with a pool but the gym is adequate as no one is ever in there. They put us in a lovely large room overlooking the street. Breakfast was great, Bvlgari toiletries appealed to my girl friend, staff were lovely and the concierge was... more
