We stayed at the Grand Mayan Acapulco through an RCI exchange last week and it was just a terrific vacation from beginning to end. The resort itself was beautiful and very well-maintained. The service at the resort was impeccable from check-in to check-out, the concierges, and at the bars and restaurants. October is part of the area's off-season, and that... more

First, the great things about Grand Mayan: 1) There is horseback riding on the beach, which is a fantastic experience! The sand is soft, so the ride is smooth. If you are a good rider, you can run a good stretch down the beach. When we were there (in Oct) the beach was nearly empty. $25 for an hour is... more

I booked the Mayan Palace thru RCI and when we ( my iwfe and another couple) arrived we were offered an upgrade to the Grand Mayan. ( if we agreed to a time share presentation) we did and the Grand Mayan is a lovely site. We got the golf course view, but when you come up in the elevator you... more

We booked our trip through RCI and every expectation was exceeded. We went during the rainy season we were told it only rained at night and they were right. During the day it was sunny and trust me we got sunburned a little. The hotel was not crowed, service was excellent on every level e.g front desk, housekeeping, food service,... more

The Grand Mayan is a beautiful resort. It has everything you need to have a enjoyable vacation. We had the grand master suite which was huge but the rooms had a musty and mold smell that came from using the air conditioner. I have never been at a resort that clean and worked to keep everything so beautiful. Even though... more

We stayed at the Grand Mayan 9/19/2008 - 9/25/2008. The hotel is magnificent. The rooms are spotless and the grounds are perfect. We enjoyed the twice daily room service. My only complaint is that we asked for an ocean view room and were told we could move to another room in 3 days but no one ever contacted us again... more

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Mayan, Acapulco for our honeymoon in August 2008. The Grand Mayan is one of the nicest hotels in Acapulco according to pretty much every website out there as well as every taxi driver we struck up a conversation with. Speaking of taxi drivers, Roberto Alarcon and his brother are by FAR the... more

My family stayed at the Grand Mayan through a RCI trade. We did not have the ocean view, but that was fine. My husband and I traveled with a 3 and 4 year old. I was concerned about traveling with children so young, but we did not have any problems. The Mexico City is extremely confusing. I would avoid it... more

I just returned from a week long trip to Acapulco and my stay at the Grand Mayan was excellent. When walking to the reception desk at the Grand I was awestruck at the beauty of the ocean...it is enough to take your breath away. There were a total of 4 ladies in our group and we had the pleasure of... more

Stayed at the Grand Mayan in Acapulco. The resort was above average, but in true form to the Mayan Resorts they do "nickle and dime" you. They like to charge for amenities that are included in most other time share resorts. The true gem in this trip was ROBERTO ALARCON. We contacted him on the internet prior to our trip.... more
