About two weeks ago I was the best man at a wedding held at Dante's on Purgatory's back-side. It was supremely beautiful; the setting was idyllic. This place is pricey and was more like a cheap motel than a resort. The flyer they give you upon check in says they do daily maid service and they do NOT. We noticed the cleaning lady in a room next door so we thought they would clean ours right away. They were in the other room ALL day and... more

Our family (husband, myself and 2 teenage daughters) visited the resort in July 2005. We booked a room in advance for Cascade Village. We had a 1 bedroom loft. The drive to Durango Moutain resort was beautiful. I had a 5 year old and a 9 year old that wanted to take ski lessons and I definitely recommend calling and checking on times for the ski school.
